Lord’s Prayer – Our Father – Pater Noster

The Lord’s Prayer, the Our Father, the Pater Noster is a prayer that Jesus taught to his disciples and followers.

The Lord’s Prayer is considered to be the most important Christian prayer. It is found in the New Testament of the Bible in Matthew 6: 5-13.

It is used in most Christian denominations, although some parts of the prayer may vary.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory
forever and ever.
Amen
